ECCO’S COVID-19 RESPONSE

The outbreak of COVID-19 has turned into a pandemic with worldwide consequences. It is a highly critical situation, which requires us to be stronger together and for everyone to do their part.

ECCO across the globe

We have learned that one of the most effective ways to reduce spreading of the virus is to maximise social distance. Therefore, ECCO has taken a number of steps to protect our employees and customers.

As of 18 March, we have decided to close our shops in Europe, the US, and Canada. We remain committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and across the globe, we will continue to service customers through ECCO’s online stores at www.ecco.com. In ECCO’s open stores, we follow the advice given by healthcare providers and international public health authorities. We encourage everyone to take care of their health and protect others by maintaining a physical distance and practicing respiratory hygiene.

Across ECCO’s offices, we are assessing the situation and encouraging our employees to work remotely, where deemed necessary and possible. Employees whose work requires them to be on site must follow guidance to maximise interpersonal space. In all our offices, we are rolling out new hygiene measures to minimise any health risk.

Due to the highly unusual circumstances in relation to the outbreak of COVID-19, the publication of ECCO’s Annual Report 2019 scheduled for 17 March 2020 has been postponed.

The severity of the COVID-19 virus cannot be underestimated, and we deeply appreciate the commitment of those who are addressing this health emergency. Our thoughts are with all people affected across the globe.
